Boyne Camino-Guided Camino Experience

Tickets Via Eventbrite-click here

Welcome to the Boyne Valley Trails September Festival; immerse yourself in our guided walks, hikes and trails and discover the beauty, history and nature of the stunning Boyne Valley region.

Join guide Dusty Flanagan on a guided walking tour of the 25km Boyne Camino loop walk, part of the official Celtic Camino.

The 25km walk forms a figure of eight looped walk via Townley Hall Woods on the way out to Mellifont Abbey, through Tullyallen Village, down King William’s Glen via Belnumber Wood, across the beautiful Boyne at the Obelisk and back into Drogheda via Oldbridge along the Boyneside Trail and ramparts.

Starting in Drogheda, the Boyne Camino passes through some of the most stunning scenery in the Boyne Valley, where the Battle of the Boyne was fought and along the majestic Boyne river to return to Drogheda.

Official Celtic Camino passports are included in the ticket price and walkers will have the opportunity to collect Camino stamps along the route.

Please note: Photos and video footage may be captured during this walking tour/event.

Things To Know

Got questions? We’ve got answers. Here are some of the most common queries about our trails and events.

What should I bring with me?

For our forest, mountain or off-road trails, we recommend bringing water, snacks, good waterproof boots or trainers, hat and sunglasses. You may bring a walking pole if you like and please dress according to the weather-it is Ireland after all. Light layers and waterproof shoes and coat, plus some clean socks just in case.

Dogs are allowed on some of our trails and on others only guide dogs are permitted. Please read the event description carefully to see if dogs are allowed or contact us to confirm.

Yes! We include in the cost of the tickets the official Camino passport. You will collect stamps all along the Boyne Camino route and you can (if you are feeling extra adventurous) take this passport with you to complete the remaining 75km in Spain to complete a full 100km Camino.

We use Eventbrite as our ticketing partner; they process our ticket sales on our behalf. As we are a volunteer-led group, we need to add a small charge to each ticket to cover fees from Eventbrite.
