Nordic Walking Workshop

Nordic Walking Workshop

Join this Nordic Walking workshop and learn how to turn a simple walk into a full-body cardio workout using Nordic walking poles.

During this session you will learn:

  • The correct Nordic walking technique
  • How to use poles to create a high-cardio workout while walking
  • How Nordic walking engages the upper body and core
  • How to adjust your walking style for fitness training or longer treks

Nordic walking is suitable for all fitness levels – from very fit to those just getting started. Once you learn the technique, you can use it to walk at a pace that suits your own fitness.

We’ll start on the track at Lourdes Stadium to work on technique and pole use. After that, you can practice walking at your own pace while applying the technique. Parking and toilets available on site

This session will show you how to get the most out of your poles, whether you want to use them for short full-body workouts or longer walks and treks.

Things To Know

Got questions? We’ve got answers. Here are some of the most common queries about our trails and events.

What should I bring with me?

For our forest, mountain or off-road trails, we recommend bringing water, snacks, good waterproof boots or trainers, hat and sunglasses. You may bring a walking pole if you like and please dress according to the weather-it is Ireland after all. Light layers and waterproof shoes and coat, plus some clean socks just in case.

Dogs are allowed on some of our trails and on others only guide dogs are permitted. Please read the event description carefully to see if dogs are allowed or contact us to confirm.

Yes! We include in the cost of the tickets the official Camino passport. You will collect stamps all along the Boyne Camino route and you can (if you are feeling extra adventurous) take this passport with you to complete the remaining 75km in Spain to complete a full 100km Camino.

We use Eventbrite as our ticketing partner; they process our ticket sales on our behalf. As we are a volunteer-led group, we need to add a small charge to each ticket to cover fees from Eventbrite.
