DRAWDA-Urban Art Trail (self-guided walking tour)
DRAWDA-Urban Art Trail is a self-guided walking tour in Drogheda that takes some of the most interesting Irish Mythological figures and portrays their stories in the form of large-scale murals. National and International artists have been invited to take a prominent Irish Myth and the blank canvas of an underused wall in Drogheda to create a Urban Art Trail that is nothing short of legendary.
Murals along the trail are complimented by an audio-story, which visitors scan a QR code at each location to access. These stories have been reimagined and expertly performed by local artists to accompany the murals and take the visitor deeper into the story that inspired each piece.
From Boann-the magnificent Goddess of the Boyne River to The Dagda-legendary leader of the Tuatha de Danann, this self-guided walking tour takes you back thousands of years into the mythology that surrounds Drogheda and the Boyne Valley.
Trail maps are available at the Drogheda Tourist office, Love Drogheda BID office on Meatmarket Lane and the Droichead Arts Centre on Stockwell street or download a PDF of the map from our homepage.
