
Lands of Dowth
Join guide Dusty on this rare opportunity to walk the northern side of the Boyne and discover the Devenish Lands at Dowth. This area of the Boyne Valley is rich in nature and history. It includes recently discovered megalithic passage tombs and Ireland’s largest henge (Late Neolithic embanked circular enclosure).
The walk along the river is unspoilt and rich in wildlife. Talks along the way will cover the recent archaeological finds . the landscape, wildlife and research work on sustainable agriculture.
This walk is an area not normally accessible to the public.
