
MYTHS AND LEGENDS OF DROGHEDA AND THE BOYNE
A walk along the river Boyne in Drogheda exploring the ancient mythology of Ireland’s most eminent river valley. Hear about how many Irish myths which are known around the world are closely connected with the Boyne and the Drogheda area. Walking will be at a leisurely pace, suitable for families.
Assemble on the footpath at the old Ushers factory across from the eastern end of Donor’s Green, Boyne Road, at 1.15 pm; walk begins at 1.30 pm sharp. Limited parking is available on the Boyne Road, North Strand, and Greenhills areas. The walk will cover a distance of about 2.5km and will conclude on the Ramparts Walk around 3.30 pm.
