A walk along the river Boyne in Drogheda exploring the ancient mythology of Ireland’s most eminent river valley.
Expert guide Anthony Murphy of Mythical Ireland will take you back in time to a hoary and misty age of the past when deities battled with mortal humans in supernatural encounters. Hear about how many Irish myths which are known around the world are closely connected with the Boyne and the Drogheda area.
Walking will be at a leisurely pace, suitable for families.
Assemble at the eastern end of Donor’s Green at 1.45 pm.
The walk begins at 2 pm sharp.
Limited parking is available on the Boyne Road, North Strand and Greenhills areas.
The walk will cover a distance of about 2.5km and will conclude on the Ramparts Walk around 3.45 pm.
