Taste of Drogheda Walking Tour

<p><a href="https://www.eventbrite.ie/e/taste-of-drogheda-walking-tour-tickets-1651862448049?aff=oddtdtcreator"><strong>Tickets via Eventbrite-click here</strong></a></p> <p>Welcome to the Boyne Valley Trails September Festival.</p> <p>Join us on this new walking trail, the “Taste of Drogheda” walking tour, presented by guide Owen Murphy.</p> <p>The tour will include seven venues within a 500 Sq/m area in Drogheda town centre.</p> <p>We will taste food and drink grown, farmed and distilled in the Drogheda /Boyne valley area.</p> <p>We will enjoy 3 different starter/tapas (3 different venues/retailers) of fresh produce,</p> <p>then off to restaurant #1 for a main course(2 large starters) with two wine pairings explained.</p> <p>We will then change venues for our dessert dish.</p> <p>Our walk will blend food with history local and national and understand the journey of food locally to today’s fine produce.</p> <p>We will finish off our Food tour with a taste of a Whiskey distilled locally. We will understand where Drogheda went from 18 distillers in the 1700s to just one today.</p> <p>An enjoyable meander around ‘Drawda’ eating and drinking for two hours.</p> <p>“Shur what else would you be doing”.</p> <p><strong>Dietary note: </strong>Tasting items on this tour include fish and meat. Unfortunately for this event we cannot accommodate vegetarians, but we endeavour to have a vegetarian food tour option in the near future.</p> <p>Non-alcoholic options are available. Under 18s will be offered non-alcoholic option only.</p>
