
Townley Hall and Woods
Join guide Dusty and take in a visit to one of Irelands finest Georgian houses, along with a walk in its extensive woodland .
Townley Hall house was designed by Francis Johnston , a master architect ,famous for some of the country’s finest buildings, including the GPO in Dublin.
The house now stands on 60 acres with a further 300 acres under the care of Coilte. The woodland consists mainly of broadleaves with a few scattered conifers.
The walk will commence with a guided tour of this beautiful house followed by a walk in the garden and woods.
Parking at Townley Hall House, gates will be closed after walk commences.
Meet at 9.45am to commence at 10am sharp and finishes approximately at 1pm
Please bring water and some snacks.
No dogs allowed other than guide dogs .
